Precedentemente è stata Ricercatore a tempo determinato (ai sensi dell'art. 24 c. 3 lettera B della legge 240/2010) in "Economia degli intermediari e dei mercati finanziari" (S.C. 13/B4).
Editor della Subseries "Green Finance" (Palgrave Macmillan), Associate Editor del Journal "Environment, Development and Sustainability".
Ha svolto attività di ricerca e consulenza nei campi classici della finanza e nell'ambito della finanza sostenibile.
Helen Chiappini, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Banking and Finance at the Department of Management and Business Administration, G. d’Annunzio University, where she teaches Financial Markets and Institutions (undergraduate), Corporate Finance (postgraduate), Banking & Finance (postgraduate), and Sustainable Finance (Ph.D. course). She is a faculty member of the Ph.D. in Accounting, Management and Business Economics (G. d’Annunzio University) and supervisor of a Ph.D. student.
Her research interests are primarily related to sustainable and impact finance, sustainable business models, as well as non-performing loans and corporate governance. She is author of several scientific articles published by Journals such as Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, Corporate Governance, Global Business Review, International Journal of Emerging Markets, Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment. She also published the book “Social Impact Funds. Definition, assessment, performance” (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017) and edited three books: “Socially responsible investments” (2018) and “Contemporary issues in sustainable finance” (2019; 2021). She is the editor of the Subseries “Palgrave Studies in Green Finance” (Palgrave Macmillan), an Associate Editor of the Journal "Environment, Development and Sustainability" and a member of the Scientific Committee of Social Impact Agenda per l’Italia. She is an ad hoc referee for several international journals, among which Business Strategy and the Environment, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, Energy, Environmental Impact Assessment Review, Finance Research Letters, Global Finance Journal, Risk and Financial Management. She also served as a consultant or researcher for several national and international organizations over the years.
