Stefano Za is Associate Professor of Organization Studies and Information Systems at University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti – Pescara. Stefano holds a PhD degree in Business Information Systems from LUISS and a Master degree in Computer Science from “La Sapienza” University of Rome. He was an Assistant Professor of Organization Studies and Information Systems at E-Campus University until April 2017. Before joining E-Campus he was a post-doc fellow at LUISS. Since 2006 he has been collaborating with the Research Center on Information Systems (IS) (CeRSI "A. D'Atri") at LUISS till 2016, where he carries out research activities in national and international projects.
He is a member of ERCIS, the President of the Italian chapter of AIS (http://www.itais.org), and an affiliate of the research center in Leadership, Innovation and Organisation of LUISS University (CLIO).
In 2008 he was visiting research fellow at the Faculty of “Business, Economics and IS” of Regensburg University (Germany), in 2013 he was visiting researcher at the Department of “Management” in the Faculty of “Business and Economics” of Monash University (Melbourne, Australia), and he has been visiting professor at the EM Strasbourg Business School (France) since 2016. He is a member of program committees and reviewer for national and international conferences and journals in the domains of Information Systems and Organization Studies. His main research interest is the analysis and design of digital artefacts and organizational systems. He is currently focused on digital innovations and business transformation affecting people and organizations in the digital ecosystem.
He has published papers on international conferences, book series, and journals such as: European Conference on IS (ECIS), International Conference on IS (ICIS), Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP), Lecture Notes in IS and Organization (LNISO), IEEE Wireless Communications, Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS), Government Information Quarterly (GIQ), Information & Management (I&M), British Journal of Educational Technology (BJET), International Journal of Innovation and Learning (IJIL), Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research (JTAER), Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development (JSBED), Kybernetes, Meditari Accountancy Research, Personnel Review (PR).
